The service, if you could call it that, was particularly poor, not only did they let me know the agent turn up nearly half an hour later, there was a viewing arranged for two parties at the same time (as if to pressure to apply and pay up?) but also the agent had virtually no knowledge on the property. In addition when I've went to the office to try and ask about other properties I've got treated nearly like a criminal just because I've stated my dissatisfaction with the service provided so far. Definitely do not recommend. I find it entirely unacceptable to have no manners at all when dealing with customers and no way of dealing with a customer complaint other than telling them to leave the office.
LIARS! Was told Property had received an application ,so was no longer available. 4 weeks later we noticed still advertised !? So then rang up and was told no applications have been taken!! Made an appointment to view the house and were still waiting outside after 20 minutes, so we left! My guess is they are taking applications for properties and pocketing the Money!! This company should be investigated and fined for DISHONEST Practices ...AVOID
My review is in response to bellow review by Fran Hankins whom seems to be a compulsive liar , I own the property and there was no carpet as last tennant removed it ,I was asked to supply a Carpet on Friday and rang her within five mins to arrange a measure up on the Tuesday she refused and demanded a carpet next day , but unfortunately the fitters was booked , so she invented the bellow feedback out of spite What a bitter twisted woman You should be ashamed of yourself !!Lancasters are brilliant at there job and they rent many properties for me with no problems at all ,Nigel Kaye
Repeatedly fobbed off and then accused tenant of being a liar. Took weeks and weeks to sort out the simplest of things for tenant to move in even though tenant specifically advised she needed to move ASAP. Took bedroom carpet out and then told tenant she must have imagined it was there when she viewed the property. Repeatedly upset tenant and made absolutely no effort to deal with their own mistakes so that she could move in. Tenant had to beg for a receipt after paying over 1100 IN CASH. In the end they gave her a tiny bit of hand written paper as a 'receipt'. Misadvertised that property was available immediately even though tenant was desperate to move.
I would have no hesitation in recommending Lancasters to anyone. Helpful, friendly and professional they kept us informed every step of the way and nothing was too much trouble. We had a particularly complex house purchase and sale and Lancasters were great in finding out from both sellers, buyers and solicitors what was happening and putting pressure on the parties to get it sorted. They must have made hundreds of calls on our behalf. Yes we paid more than the online agents charge but we wouldn't have got the same service and I'm sure we wouldn't now be living in our dream home without Lancasters help. Thank you.
