Food is ok. Standard pub chain food. We've been today in the middle of January. It's cold outside but you would expect it to be warmer inside. Absolutely freezing, especially in the play area. The play area is in need of a big clean.
Stayed here for work. The executive room did not disappoint. Comfy bed and Jacuzzi bath. It did let itself down on slightly dated decor & uneven floor in the bathroom. However I would stay again
Stopped off for food on the way to Manchester Airport. Convenient location from M1 motorway, lots of free parking. Nice interior and seats. Good beer selection. Wide food selection with 2 for 1 offers. Good value. Nothing special but tasty and filling. Staff friendly and helpful. Would return.
Went in at 5.10pm on a Sunday and asked for a carvery. I was told the carvery had finished but when I looked there was lots of food including two joints of meat that were almost full. When I questioned it, the barman told me that he didn't know why it was off. I ordered something else which was really nice but would have liked an explanation as to why there wasn't a carvery when there seemed to be plenty left, we've been in a few times later than that and got one no problem.
Fab deals on food. 2 for 1. The pizzas are fantastic. The pub is clean and the drinks are reasonably priced. The children play areas is great
