Wouldnt imagine this hotel is overly old but it is battered and bruised everywhere. Marks upon most surfaces, towels, bed linen etc.I stay away a lot for work, and have stayed in some pretty dodgy hotels, but none have been as dirty as the hotel.The toilet seat still had the previous proprietors pee upon it, the bathroom itself smelled like there was a blocked drain and the towels and bath mats had strange yellow marks on them; I honestly thought at one point I had walked into a room that still had somebody staying in it, it was that dirty.First and last Ibis Hotel for me.
Rooms are nice and comfortable. Breakfast is self serve and was good. My only negative comment is there should be a bell on the bar to ring for service as we had to keep going to reception and asking if we could be served.. and heard this from other people who have stayed there.. getting a drink at the bar is a pain... we were just going to stay in the bar the night we went bit got fed up and went to Toby carvery across the car park
My wife and i stayed for 3 nights over Christmas and had a relatively pleasant time. The major plus for this hotel was the fact you can bring your dog in, not only do they let you bring your dog in but they also do what they can to make you and the pet feel comfortable... they provided water bowls, towels and treats for the dogs. The other bonuses were; good breakfast with a wide selection, good security in car park, dinner was excellent and well priced, clean rooms, friendly staff and really good price for what you get. The only negatives during our stay was that noise travels easily between floors and corridors (hard to sleep with children running around at 11 at night), the restaurant didn't have enough seating for everyone that came to breakfast and on a more personal note the rooms didn't have toilet brushes. Overall our stay in the Ibis Styles was pleasant and I would recommend and possibly stay again when next in the area.
Good stay and value for money, both fiancee and pet were happy!Room was bright and clean with a simple but modern style. Only Breakfast was really poor, no many options for a continental breakfast.
Hotel is very accessible great location. Rooms clean and tidy. Restaurant at night was empty after tasting the food it's easy seen why. Very poor quality. Breakfast was okay.
