We have eaten here quite a few times and really enjoyed the food, it has always been tasty well cooked and flavoursome unfortunately today the Sunday roast was very disappointing, the Yorkshire puddings were very hard, inedible the chicken quite dry and the vegetables hard. The starters were lovely, very tasty and enjoyable. The staff were attentive, polite, helpful and very informative. It's a shame the main course was so disappointing.
Had an overnight spa day here. Excellent value, delicious meals and brilliant massage in the spa. Bedroom very comfortable altogether a really good experience.
Superb Hotel and restaurant. I frequently stop here whilst charging the Tesla and get 10% off food and drink. You can sit and have a coffee buy the fireplace in the bar, the atmosphere is very pleasant.
Only giving 3 for the food and it was clean. Very dated. Bathroom very old and shower was rubbish going between freezing and boiling. Bar staff and waitresses were miserable. Food was very nice! Tried for 2 hours on and off to call the spa from the room and no answer even leaving it to ring for up to 5minutes. Once Id got ready for meal I decided to just pop into spa instead. Not even busy.reception weren't answering the phone either. Wouldn't stay again and definitely not worthy of 4 stars. Stayed at the same chain in Norfolk which was lovely so quite disappointing.
A nice place in a good setting hard to believe it is less than 10 miles from Sheffield. Nice clean room and friendly staff. Plenty of parking on site and good amenities. The breakfast was good with a self service selection of cereals and cooked food. My tea was waiting for me when I got back to my table which was a nice surprise. Would certainly stay here again
